Pinot noir 2024
Bright, pale ruby and beautifully perfumed, this Pinot opens with sour cherry, cranberry and floral notes of rosewater and Turkish delight. The palate is fresh and juicy, layered with red currant, pomegranate and crunchy raspberry, finishing dry and savoury with fine tannins and a hint of spice.
Best Drinking
Will age but recommended to drink young, within 2–3 years.
7 months in French oak.

Winemaker Notes
For quite a few years now I have tried to allow the combination of the patches of fruit at St Matthias to define our resulting wine style. Essentially a softer and silkier tannin with less time in oak coupled with a more fruit forward style but tempered with some wild yeast complexity. This vintage is no different however I have again pushed to try to harvest fruit slightly lower in ripeness to try to avoid higher alcohol content. With less new oak (16%) I think the wine shows better balance and better fruit expression.
